Riding the NCR Trail

The NCR Trail follows the old North Central Railroad line. Starting just north of Baltimore it continues north to York PA.

Lots of farm land

The beautiful Ms. Booth

I let her try my bike for awhile. She went home and bought one of her own.

After the ride, we headed back down to the city for some tea by the water.

gulls in the back

Here's an old pic that made it on Republic's website.

and a random ride down to the inner harbor.
This is the view from the pedestrian bridge looking towards pier 6.

A view from the new digs.

A few night shots...

The view towards downtown.

Ghostly Drew

Black & White. I really like the contrast it offers.

Built in 1789? There's a key stone at the top that I can't quite make out if it's a 9 or a 1.

Stone work on my balcony

Color shots

The park is a favorite for locals, and junkies alike...

People watching in the building across the street has afforded views of a topless resident as well as a dude whacking it in front of his window...
#cityviews!

Madison & Charles

Drew found out he can't walk on the fire escape very well.

The new highrise!

Here's a quick pic I snapped while heading to lunch. It's got a handle on top!

The tops and flat corners change color, though I haven't seen them light it up latley, only when they were testing it.

A touch of snow in the hood, and the Chinese new year

Chinese New year in the hood!
...wait, he's not asian, I scored like 90% on that alllooksame website, so that makes me like almost king Asian spotter, it ain't you my friend..

It was an ill fated attempt Sunday brunch.
Dim sum, I wonder if I ever shall partake!

Psst... you put money in the dragons mouth...
gotta feed the monkey, or dragon as it were.
I did miss the lighting of the 30' long strip of blackjacks. Though I think I can imagine what it's like, lots of paper flying, loud noises in repetition, and some smoke... Got it.

One week earlier....

The second snow fall of the year.

Everybody seems to lift their wiper blades... I think I understand why but moving here 15 years ago from a much snowier climate, I can't recall anyone ever doing that.

No 4x4 needed this time (sorry taco)

I'd stitch them together in a more panoramic shot, but I am lazy

but if you're

Yes, yes, It's been a while

Though, it's quite possible I just don't have much to say, or what's much more likely, I am incredible lazy and a world class procrastinator (like top 10 world wide). So anywho, I thought I'd throw out some old stuff circa 2001.

We see them all the time... And we all think it will never happen to us. Well my friends, if there is one thing I have learned from my life is I will NEVER say "It'll never happen to me" because there is a 95% chance if I do, It's gonna. This post is proof, along with other stories I should (and probably will in time) share, though some would call them cautionary tales, I'm stickin' with stories, mostly because I don't give a shit if you learn anything from me. In fact I would actually prefer if you didn't. It's just better that way. I don't need your mistakes on my conscious, even if I "may" have been that little devil on your shoulder telling you "ehh, sounds like a good idea to me" >:D

SMASH!!!
yep, that's my car and no I wasn't in it when the train hit it. But I was a site to see, if only once (and hopefully only once).

I think Norfolk Southern did a fine job, if only a touch excessive. I would have prefered "not" spraying all the cars parked along the tracks with gravel but what can you really do at that point? I'll tell you, sit back and watch the show. Cause watchin' that massive train take your car 4/10ths of a mile down the tracks before it could get itself stopped will "most likely" only happen once in your life.

A wonderful view of the driver's seat, glad I decided to get out...

Yep, the bike rack stayed on if you were wondering.

And one final picture for good measure.
I do have to apologize to Eric, Kristen, and Nat who's party I was at. I did cause the train to be stopped for over 2 hours in front of your house, and the cops to show up. I am just glad, there is no way you can pin that whole OD fiasco on me! What chick is going to spike peoples drinks with GHB? I thought only Frat boys did that... At least the paramedics could carry the afflicted under the train on stretchers. No harm no foul.

Memorable night? yes one of many.

oh, and as a P.S., SUCK IT Eastway wreckers, I know you stole my CD changer! Your thinly veiled denials through that slack jawed yokel accent "we ain't responsible for no property left on our lot" bull shit is just that bull shit (I am a huge fan of the cadence of the southern dialect and colloquialisms, just not that girls). Behind a barbed wire fence? Yeah, I'm guessing no one really climbed back there at night with the roaming rottweilers to pilfer some wrecked cars... Print it all you want on signs around your office, you can't pull that one over on me. Like a trap baby! I'm not mad anymore though, you've probably already gotten yours. Karma is great that way...
